If you are thinking about building a log home but are not sure what is involved, here is the seminar for you!
Appalachian Log Structures presents an educational seminar developed to guide consumers through the log home
buying and building process and includes the following:

  •  Meet some of the Appalachian Log Structures staff who you will be working with

  • Learn the 10 Steps to make your dream log home become reality

  •  Ask the questions that are most important to you.

  •  Talk with other attendees who are on the same journey as you are to build a log home

  • Visit the mill where your log home will be created

  • See how a Premier Log Wall is manufactured

  • Participate in the construction of a sample log wall

Enjoy a day fill with learning more about buying, building and maintaining your log home. 
During the morning session (9:00 AM to 12:00 PM in the Sleep Inn Meeting room) you will learn more about
Appalachian Log Structures and the advantages of our building systems. We will also offer valuable
information on establishing a budget, financing, floor plan design, maintenance, the manufacturing process, the
delivery process and much more.

You will begin the afternoon session (1:00 PM to 3:00 PM) by touring our Oak Street manufacturing facility in
Princeton, WV. You’ll see how your blueprints are transformed into a quality, pre-cut, lettered and numbered
(Premier) building system. Afterwards, gain “hands-on” experience by helping to construct a full-size corner
section of a log home. This will include installation of the logs, gasket, caulk, thru-bolts and jambs for
door/window openings. While this session will be limited by time constraints, it will demonstrate the general
construction techniques resulting in a better understanding of our building system.
